Episode Summary

Audrey Mann Cronin, the president of Mann Cronin PR joins us today. She is a communications consultant in consumer technology, a speaker and blogger for Our Digital Daughters where she explores the communications and social issues of growing up in our digital world. Audrey is founder of Say It Media, Inc., and the creator of LikeSo, a mobile app that acts as your personal speech coach. And, most importantly, the mom of two amazing teenagers:-). Joining Audrey is her daughter, Amanda, young activist and a foodie. She is a junior at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY, the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper and a student of the Science Research program studying microbial genomics. Outside of school, Amanda takes classes and interns at Writopia Lab, is the Media Director at the Pleasantville Farmers Market, and a Youth Council Member, Advisory Board Member and Media Team Coordinator at iMatter, a non-profit environmental organization led by kids passionate about fighting the climate crisis. Amanda is the Chief Youth Officer of Say It Media, Inc. and was integral to the development of her mother’s speech app, LikeSo, and the contributor to the affiliated blog, Our Digital Daughters. Amanda has contributed articles to many local publications, including an interview with Chelsea Clinton for her book, It’s Your World. She is a 2016 National Scholastic Award winner, the recipient of the 2016 National Council of Teachers of English Award and publishes her own food activism blog, "Gourmanda."
